Jammu, Oct 31:
In the wake of the superannuation of Shri Suresh Chander Katal, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Reasi, and Shri Surinder Singh, Special Judge Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, effective October 31, 2025, the Jammu and Kashmir High Court has issued an order making interim arrangements until the posts are filled on a regular basis.
According to the order (No. 1523 of 2025/RG), Shri Arun Kumar Kotwal, District Judge, LRP, Jammu, has been posted as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Reasi, as a stop-gap arrangement. The order further states that the Additional Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, shall hold the additional charge of Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Srinagar.
The order, issued by Registrar General (Officiating) M.K. Sharma on October 31, 2025, ensures continuity in judicial functioning at both key positions until permanent appointments are made.
