SAMBA POLICE CRACKS DOWN ON DRUG NETWORK; MOVABLE PROPERTIES (VEHICLES) WORTH Rs.58,63,148.00 OF 03 NOTORIOUS DRUG PEDDLERS ATTACHED UNDER NDPS ACT, BANK ACCOUNTS AMOUNTING TO Rs. 23,64,179.00 FROZEN/SEIZED
Assets Worth Over ₹82 Lakh Attached Under NDPS Act
Samba: April 28, 2026: In a major crackdown against drug trafficking and its financial networks, Samba Police under the supervision of SSP Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar-IPS, has attached movable properties (vehicles) of three notorious drug peddlers and frozen multiple bank accounts under the stringent provisions of the NDPS Act in the jurisdiction of PS Bari Brahmana.
During the course of investigation conducted by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in case FIR No. 59/2026 US 179/180/318 BNS and 8/21/22/27-A/29 of the NDPS Act registered at PS Bari Brahmana, following recoveries were previously made:
1) 1935.80 grams of cocaine from accused Dil Mohd S/o Gulam Rasool R/o H.No 420, Near Digiana Ashram, Gangyal district Jammu.
2) 20.67 grams of heroin from accused Sandeep Khajuria S/o Madan Mohan Khajuria R/o Raipur Bantalab district Jammu.
3) 14.90 grams of heroin from accused Wazir Mohd S/o Gulam Rasool R/o H. No 420, Near Digiana Ashram, Gangyal district Jammu.
During further course of investigation, it was revealed that the accused persons had acquired various illegal movable/immovable properties from the proceeds of crime. Accordingly, the following properties have been seized/attached under section 68(E)& 68(F)of the NDPS Act:

Innova Crysta bearing Regd. No. JK02DN-5821 – approx. valuing Rs.21,54,000.00
Hyundai i20 Sportz bearing Regd. No. JK02CD-8573 – approx. valuing Rs.6,95,561.00
Belonging to Sandeep Khajuria:
Hyundai Creta bearing Regd. No. JK02CN-9116 – approx. valuing Rs.11,12,305.00
Hyundai i20 bearing Regd. No. JK02CL-6178 – approx. valuing Rs.8,63,282.00
Belonging to Wazir Mohd:
Tractor M&M Ltd bearing Regd. No. JK02DE-4895 – approx. valuing Rs.6,40,000.00
Total value of seized vehicles: Rs.58,63,148 (approx.)
Besides this, following bank accounts of the accused persons were also frozen/seized:
1) Three bank accounts on the name of accused Dil Mohd in the J&K Bank Gangyal, PNB Bank Bari Brahmana and ICICI Bank Bari Brahmana having amount of Rs.18,01,266.00, Rs.2,40,987.00 and Rs.16,424.00 respectively.
2) Bank account on the name of Rubina W/o Dil Mohd in the J&K Bank, Sunjwan having amount of Rs.1,70,543.00.
3) Bank account on the name of Sandeep Khajuria in the J&K Bank, Bantalab having amount of Rs.1,34,959.00.
Total value of frozen bank assets: Rs.23,64,179 (approx.)
Total Value of Attached/Seized Assets
The combined value of all attached properties, including vehicles and bank assets, amounts to approximately Rs.82,27,327 (approx.)
The action was carried out under Section 68(E)& 68(F) of the NDPS Act, following a thorough investigation which established that the accused persons were actively involved in illicit trafficking of narcotic substances and had accumulated assets through proceeds of drug-related activities.
This decisive action underscores Samba Police’s firm commitment to dismantling drug trafficking networks and targeting the financial infrastructure that sustains them. By attaching illicit assets, the Samba Police aims to send a strong deterrent message that involvement in narcotics trade will lead to stringent legal consequences.
The operation is part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan”, which seeks to eradicate drug abuse and trafficking from society.
Samba Police appeals to the general public to actively support this Abhiyan by sharing credible information related to drug activities. The identity of informers will be kept strictly confidential.
