Samba: September 27, 2025: Samba Police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana, arrested three accused including receiver of stolen property and recovered stolen items from their possession.
On 25.09.2025, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Bari Brahmana through JK State Handloom Development Corporation Ltd regarding theft of 03/04 machine pipes by some unknown persons from Himalayan Handloom Wool Factory at SIDCO Bari Brahmana.
Acting upon the complaint, a case FIR No. 149/2025 u/s 331(3)/305/317(2) BNS was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a Police team of PS Bari Brahmana after relentless efforts, apprehended two suspects who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case. The arrested accused have been identified as Raju Singh S/o Mani Ram R/o Panasa district Reasi and Mohd Salim S/o Fareed Mohd R/o Mongri district Udhampur.
On the disclosure of said accused persons, one scrap dealer namely Mohd Piru S/o Mohd Mosam R/o Gangyal district Jammu who was the receiver of stolen items was also arrested.
Further during the interrogation, Police has recovered stolen items including 04 Nos. iron machine pipes, 05 Nos. iron angles and 03 Nos. iron rings. The load carrier vehicle bearing registration No. JK02AG-5812 used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
