Utterbehni (Jammu), 2 December 2025
A grand one-day exhibition featuring exquisite sculptures created by Jammu & Kashmir’s celebrated sculptor and Padma Shri awardee Ravinder Jamwal was inaugurated today at the sacred site known as “Chhota Kashi” in Utterbehni.
The exhibition beautifully showcased Dogra culture, history, and various facets of society through lifelike artworks. Highlights included majestic statues of Maharaja Hari Singh, a dignified sculpture of Dr. Karan Singh, and numerous pieces depicting the rich Dogri folk culture. Sculptures representing every section of society — farmers, artisans, women, warriors, and saints — inspired visitors and left them in awe.
The chief guest at the event was Ajatshatru Singh, Trustee of the Jammu & Kashmir Dharmarth Trust and grandson of Maharaja Hari Singh. He formally inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon and praised Ravinder Jamwal’s artistry profusely.
Ajatshatru Singh remarked, “Through his art, Ravinder Ji has not only brought Dogra heritage to life but has also preserved it for future generations.”
The exhibition drew a large gathering of art lovers, historians, local residents, and tourists. Everyone unanimously hailed it as a significant step toward preserving and promoting Dogra culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Jamwal said, “My constant effort is to carry forward our glorious heritage to the younger generation through clay and stone. Organizing this exhibition at a holy place like Chhota Kashi Utterbehni is a matter of great privilege for me.”
