Jammu & Kashmir:
A wildlife rescue operation in the Surinsar–Mansar area took a dangerous turn when a leopard attacked a forest department employee during the mission.
The injured guard, Pawan Kumar, who was part of the rescue team deployed in the region, sustained injuries to his arm and leg in the sudden attack. He was immediately rushed to the District Hospital Samba, where he received treatment and was later discharged.
According to officials, despite the incident, the joint rescue team successfully captured the leopard and safely relocated it to Manda Zoo in Jammu.
Authorities have confirmed that the situation in the area is now under control, and surveillance has been intensified to prevent any further incidents.
