Samba: April 17, 2026: A two-day specialized course on VIP Security has commenced today at District Police Lines (DPL), Samba. The programme was organized with the objective of enhancing the professional capabilities of Police personnel in handling VIP security duties with precision, alertness and efficiency.
The training module, meticulously designed by Security Headquarters (SHQ), J&K, covers key aspects of VIP security including access control, threat perception, anti-sabotage checks, PSOs duties, escort responsibilities, rescue planning, convoy movement, crowd management, and emergency response strategies.
The programme witnessed active participation from Supervisory Officers, SHOs, Incharge Police Posts, Police Security Officers/Officials (PSOs) and other police personnel of district Samba, reflecting the Samba Police commitment to strengthening its security framework.
Experienced instructors from the Security Wing, possessing vast field expertise, are conducting the sessions. The training combines detailed theoretical inputs with practical demonstrations to ensure effective learning and skill enhancement.
SSP Samba, Sh. Anuj Kumar, IPS, also addressed the participants and highlighted the significance of such specialized training programmes. He stressed the need for effectively apply the knowledge and skills gained during the course in real-time security situations and encouraged them to derive maximum benefit from these capacity-building initiatives.
